What's in the works

While its been a slow week as far as getting this business going, I have made some progress on a web site I am working on for a massage therapy business. I had helped out with their logo redesign and got an identity started for the company. They started out with a sketched dragonfly and their name and I took it a few steps further. After a few rounds of concepts, this was the one we finalized. So next step was an informational website. She wants a site to offer information to her massage clients. Its still in the works but here is how its shaping up to be.

A sidenote. This is a bartered project- for the most part. Its a tough economy and to be honest, I hadn't worked on creating web templates in a while (it's been a good refresher course). I charged a *cheap* flat rate for the logo. The website: we agreed on an estimate that it would cost me to build this site. Instead of receiving money, she is offering her massage services to me. While this isn't going to help my financial situation, it will help my stress levels enourmously.
I will post an update once the site is live and 100% finalized.

"Whats the holdup?"
I need a freakin computer! I was minutes away from a used mac book but the deal fell through. I asked to purchase an older mac from my company- no word back yet. My laptop at home (pc) has the smallest amount of ram known to earth and won't allow me to install anything on it. I'm hoping the deal I'm trying to work out with my boss will come through. That will atleast get me set up to start working more and until I can buy a new computer. I'm still really struggling with my own logo design. I think logos and stationary are my favorite types of projects. Designing a logo for myself shouldn't be this hard, but I'm trying to say to much with it. I dont want it to look too techy- or artsy- or boring- .. It reminds me of going to this poster store when I first moved to Philly for college. There's a store on South Street and they stock thousands of posters in this tiny little store. I was hoping to get some wall art for the ugly apartment walls. I LEFT WITH NOTHING. I couldn't decide on any one or 3 posters that would DEFINE me. This is my problem all over again. I am trying too hard. I want the logo to represent me and that's always been an inner-struggle.
